Along with all the fun that encompasses RYLA there was also College 101, which may seem boring at first, but do not underestimate it. On the panel we had Josh Jordan, entering his junior year at Cornell University, majoring in government and minoring in education; Danny Lent, entering his freshman year at Colby, he is undecided in a major, but is planning to travel to Salamanca; Sarah Valdes, entering her freshman year, at SUNY New Paltz majoring in art; Abby Carlin, entering her freshman year, at George Washington University majoring in engineering; Lastly Gerry Hamilton, entering his freshman year, at Syracuse majoring in business. Accompanying them there was Jamie Ricci who is the admissions officer at MSMC. The conferees were able to ask the panel members, and the rest of the RYLA staff, plenty of questions to help themselves gain a better understanding of how to handle their impending college decisions.
